yield trials in Idaho and Washington, SW 435 has produced higher yields
than other major varieties and has averaged 5% above means of all five
trials. SW 435 has high multifoliolate leaf expression (78%). This is a
high quality forage producer.
Summary
SW 435 combines high forage quality, fast recovery after cutting, and
excellent forage yield potential with excellent winterhardiness.
Multiple pest resistance is excellent. This variety has performed well
over a wide range of environments and is adapted to areas where FD 4 or
5 varieties are planted. |
